Frequently Asked Questions
What should I know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
You don't want to get surprised with additional fees, so I will give you a flat fee quote up front if at all possible! My first consultation is always free! Some types of work have potential time frames that are more difficult to estimate and may require an hourly fee. In these cases I will try to provide an estimated range up front, and if I think my fees will exceed that range I will let you know as early as possible.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I began preparing tax returns for the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, which provides free tax preparation services for low-income individuals. After law school I went to work for a large international accounting firm, where I focused on complex international taxation compliance and planning. I also started providing estate planning services.
What advice would you give clients looking to decrease their tax liability?
The better your records are organized, the faster your tax preparer will be able to complete your work (and the more money you will likely save)!
What can I expect from our first meeting?
I like to have a 30-minute call or in-person meeting to make sure we start out on the same page. This is our chance to get to know each other and for you to know what to expect. You can also ask me about specific concerns you have regarding your situation.
What types of clients have you worked with?
I have helped a range of individuals from students with no income to individuals making over $20 million annually. I have also assisted corporations and partnerships of various sizes.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Master of Accountancy (Taxation Emphasis), 2015, Brigham Young University
Bachelor of Science, Accounting, 2015, Brigham Young University
